About the Foundation

Our Mission

The American College of Norway started its 25th year celebration with a party in October at University of North Dakota, its founding US partner. Well over 100 enthusiasts were in attendance to celebrate the event. At that event, we announced that in honor of its 25th year, a new American College of Norway Foundation USA was formed to raise funds for ACN students, faculty and staff and for ACN programs and projects.

Small yet powerful, ACN has had a big influence on many Norwegian and American students: over 2,000 students have had the opportunity to study abroad either at UND or in Norway, more than any educational exchange at UND by far. In addition, over 80 UND faculty have taught Norwegian and American students at ACN, rejuvenating teaching careers and providing valuable new insights. This faculty involvement at ACN has lead to international collaborations, publications, and opportunities for both Americans and Norwegians.

But now ACN needs your help. Currently the College faces a challenging budget year, and financial support from its alumni has become essential. Your Founding Donation will truly make it possible for ACN to continue operations.
